to know what i am and to know what i am not.
while i chuckle at a good meme or a flavor-of-the-week ironic, hyper aware blogger or two, i’m here for me.
blogging is inherently selfish.
bloggers in essence are saying: HEY WORLD WHAT I HAVE TO SAY IS SO AWESOME AND RAD THAT IM GONNA TAKE TIME AND TECHNOLOGY WITH THE HOPES THAT YOU WILL HEAR IT.
and as the platforms for people to shout from their own mountaintops get better and simpler and the incentive and upside continues to grow, while the risk and potential downside of someone speaking contrary declines, more idiots blog.
i am one of them in many, many, many ways.
conversely, so many awesome people that normally wouldn’t have an outlet to share their work or inspiration, now do.
its in the spirit of saying all of this that i continue to come to one clear resolution: i’m never going to be something i’m not.
blogging gets me closer and closer each day to seeing exactly what I am and what I am not.
and anything that gets me closer to realizing what i am is a good thing.
