I feel that at its core intimacy is visceral.
We want to think its this magical woosh of emotions in our soul that conjures up some hollywood magic version of a fairytale encounter.
But I don’t think it is.
People can find each other at the right place or the right time, but even then, so many of the factors going into drawing someone close, and understanding them better comes with a key, attraction.
People don’t want to own garbage dumps, but they do it, because they are profitable and money is desireable.
More and more for many people the root of intimacy - are visceral triggers that force the other partner to further commit to the moment, situation, or even relationship.
Attitude, looks, style, and such seem to win the day.
