They Say You Want a Revolution ...
Well you know we all want to change the world.
At least I do.
I desperately want to have a positive and meaningful impact on the lives of others and in doing so fully realize my personal potential.
Yesterday that became easier and more difficult all at once.
I was fired.
It is a long story but its a lovely bouqet of corporate paranoia, clients selling you out for a buck and a general malaise that’s coated my corporate exisistence since I took this job.
Every hour I worked for them instead of writing or developing content felt like my life was being shorted by a week.
All this said - it wasn’t a bad job, or even a bad set up. It was quite cush, but at the end of the day, I didn’t like how it made me feel, nor the position it consistently put me in with others, that is:
Fighting for something you don’t believe in
If I want to change the world and bring compelling stories to life and move people in positive ways - I’m going to have to do it from outside of a cubicle and from outside of my comfort zone.
To the incredible messages I got from folks, thank you.
I can’t put into words the rush of emotions I got from people I respect and look up to simply saying, hang in there, or your valuable to this world, and other comments that make me tear up just to think about.
To my friends and family, here goes … you can now say your friend or family to a(nother) starving artist.
Now let’s change this place for the better.

Ps. I can use my real name and my real domain now too! How fun.
