Went to a screening at the Silent Movie Theatre last night, which doesn’t show all that many silent films anymore, but I’m young and don’t really care, so.
The screening, a 60s folk-exploitation film (if you can believe such a thing even existed) had a wacky plot wrapped around a bunch of actual folk/country performers from the time lip-synching their hits. And we’re talking people like Johnny Cash and Judy Henske. Wild.
The movie also had this performance from Joe & Eddie, cats I’d never heard of, but now feel absolutely shamed by. Just two guys doing some of the most affecting harmony I’ve heard in recent memory. Watched this clip half a dozen times after I got home. Where can I steal their music?!?!?!
good luck keeping your feet still to this diddy.
the crowd shots are pretty priceless.
