This song makes me miss my family in Florida so much. I have this weird fantasy that one day I’ll way up and they’ll start singing this song starting at minute one in perfect pitch, and 5 part harmony through the telephone reciever.
And when they’re finished I’ll sit up, because duh it’s still early in CA and I’m in bed, and I’ll say: “ok, just for this weekend.”
They’ll cheer and shout YES!!! High fives will be heard and I’ll know that a good weekend will be ahead.
Alas, that will never happen. Here’s to hoping they’ll visit someday.
