Priscilla Ahn
So cool to see people supporting Ms. P. Ahn!!
If her voice seems familiar there’s a good chance you’re also a fan of Joshua Radin. I’ve seen Priscilla about a half dozen times with Josh, and probably 3 times solo. She’s a great talent and blue note’s VERY lucky to have her.
She’s part of the Hotel Cafe family so she’s regularly there for benefit shows as well as the occasional residency.
I agree her first album should be fantastic!
I honestly cannot wait for Priscilla’s first full-length album which will soon be released by Blue Note. I ordered her EP a while back straight from her myspace and it is simply jaw-dropping. The arrangements are something out of a Van Dyke Parks album and her voice is just too perfect. The fact that she mailed the cd herself and even took the time to write a thank you note makes her that more awesome.
I’ve been meaning to reblog this for a week. I have listened to her EP over and over for a year now and I’m anxiously awaiting her 1st album.
