Sleek design with all of the usual Virgin trappings abound. Pilots that wear leather jackets. Flight attendants with modern haircuts. Unique lighting in the entrance and cabins. A really neat inflight video describing safety emergency procedures that was animated etc. We were delayed today for 45 mins on the runway. In an effort to kill time I tried their “red” inflight entertainment system. Live tv was good to great. Anything recorded like tv shows, movies, and music had massive gaps in audio or stops in video. And while it was free it was a mostly frustrating experience. They attempted to make a pass at having “red” offer many other amenities (even ordering a drink via touch screen) but most said they weren’t available. All in all the flight was good - cheap - accomadating. I’ll most likely use them for sf and nyc travel from now on and would recommend using them if you don’t mind an entertainment system (for looking as slick as it did) that’s equivalent to a polished turd.
