In Gallup, New Mexico.
I was tired of missing the views and a variety of incidents earlier in the day left me exhausted. Winds outside Albuquerque were carrying 40 MPH gusts and blowing signs off the poles, rain, hail etc wasn’t the worst parts - waves of desert sand rolling over the interstate would make poor visibility non existent.
This drive has been amazing, awful, perfect, and most of all too fast.
Every time I take drives like this I think, “I wish I could slow this down and enjoy it just a little more.” I’m not sure if that means I’m getting older or that I rush things, or even that I’m simply a nostalgic sucker.
Either way this has been great. LA today.
