Been a full week here in Firenze’ and while I wish I could post more pictures and movies and music and the like, I’m trying very hard to immerse myself in the culture and city so that the next 2 months here are fruitful and seamless (as much as is possible).
I’m walking what seems like 10 miles a day. I would have laughed until I puked if you’d told me that before coming here, however, now that I’m doing it, it seems pretty fantastic and makes me miss all of the walking I do when staying in NY. Weird how that works out.
I haven’t purchased a bike yet, not sure if I will, depends on a few factors, but the bikes here are AMAZING. I looked at a bike yesterday that was 14,00 Euro. Insanity, but it was breathtaking. Everything in Italy has the propensity to be a status statement here. A bike notwithstanding.
This weekend I’m heading to San Gimignano, and Siena, and then heading to Sorrento and Capri to the weekend. Lots of pictures and stories to come for sure. It will be a nice change from living in the heart of the citta (city) for the last week, but I’m welcoming it with open arms. Let’s hope the mosquitos don’t like me there as much as they do here - I’ve got nearly 30 bug bites to show for that!
Talk soon friends!
