Good News vs. Bad News

Today I traveled to San Gimignano and Siena deep in the heart of Tuscany.

Been a full week here in Firenze’ and while I wish I could post more pictures and movies and music and the like, I’m trying very hard to immerse myself in the culture and city so that the next 2 months here are fruitful and seamless (as much as is possible).

I thought life in the South was slow, Italy, you win. In life patience is a virtue, here in Firenze’ its mandatory. My apartment has 20 foot ceilings and windows that are taller than basketball hoops. Our instructor said that some people feel like kids in a candy store; I feel like a kid with hay fever in a antique crystal museum. I’m a little fearful to do”anything”.

I have this awful fantastic habit of being a second class friend.
