At the Neighborhood Music Fest. Nice location right in front of the site of the 84 olympics.
In LA and want to watch the USF game which starts in 30 and the only place I can watch it without drunkards is the gym.
Now the only question is can I hit the treadmill for all 4 quarters.
Somehow snuck into the Capitol records pre-show reception for MuteMath at the Avalon. I was just looking for food! The guys in the band are holding court and everyones having a good time. I’m getting looked at every now and again. Maybe its just open seating. Either way this is sweet. Rock n roll!
I remember the first time I saw a movie alone. It terrified me. Not because it was a horror film (Club Dread) but rather because I hate doing things alone.
I’m at the mutemath concert, waiting for the opener to start (eisley) and I’m alone. I couldn’t feel more relaxed. I’ve had 3 or 4 great concersations I wouldn’t have had if someone were with me and I made back...
on my way to LA ...
Should be there through Sunday evening. Seeing MUTEMATH tonight.
Exciting.
I'm so tired of ...
having to fill out contracts and nda’s and mou’s and blah blah blah other forms that people use to protect themselves. why am i so lazy at time with regard of protecting myself contractually?
i guess the half full perspective can have it’s limitations.
See you at the Neighborhood Music Fest →
Start-Up Success
I’m getting to a point working with companies and organizations where I realize that a start-up’s success is really measured in taking the shortest and most precise steps early on.
The distance from A-B has to be surgical and well researched and defined. Regardless of where you wind up when you get to Z, the steps early on have to be rigid.
I’m all about ambiguity and wiggle...
In Orange Circle (Orange,CA) for a meeting. I love this area.
Felix’s has the best Cuban food this side of the Mississippi and their round about makes for a nice distraction during conversations.
A First Draft = A New Start
I just did the first draft of the character development for a project I’ve been incubating for over a year.
I can’t explain what a sense of euphoria and accomplishment I feel knowing that inside 12 hours it will take on a whole new shape, help me bring on a production partner and now have a life of its own.
awesome.
Iron & Wine - The Shepard's Dog
Sam Beam has redefined himself, 100%.
And it’s pretty amazing.
so awesome.
thanks Matt M.
Currently listening to ...
Brian Eno - Music for Airports
This album has saved lives … seriously.
How did I not post this earlier. Only on vimeo would you find something this awesome and unique. well done.
Anyone get it?
Iron & Wine's New Album is Out ... Now. →
Sam Beam has created an entirely new sound with this album and I’m quite sure it’s going to be great. Add it to your collection. I am.
finally.
things are moving a lot quicker than I’d imagined - however, it’s never really as fast as i’d like it.
i’m moving to los angeles (Nov. 1) and think i will (inside the next 2 years) split time between LA and another major metropolitan area (think: Chicago/NY/London) it just depends on my creative exploits/capital/ and technology advancements RE: telecommuting etc.
...
up late?
i am. thank you to my tooth ache … going on 4 days now. time to see the dentist.
umm i don’t know what part is more awesome, but when she hits him the music in the back ground is “strike it up” by SNAP! which is pretty cool in and of itself.
I'm back ...
after a nice trip to the bay area and a subsequent couple days in Manhattan Beach, it’s good to be home.
now if only the temperature would lower 15 degrees …
