notes from the getty 8/18/2007:
i went to the getty yesterday for the umpteenth thyme … in as many months.
here are some notes from that trip:The getty is packed. I haven’t seen it this packed before. We drove two miles south to an overflow lot only to board a shuttle to hear employees say: “they’re still sending people?” Why can’t organizations with volunteers and entry level staff be just...

so much to do
figuring out what to do and when is most likely my biggest challenge.
it explains why i rely on momentum so much
i think that the ability to focus can be good to a fault.
knowing exactly what you want to accomplish is only as good as accomplishing it in the context of everything else you can, could, or should be doing at that same moment.
that pretty much explains why i like working for me.
...
i’m in such a weird place right now.
so slammed
being busy but feeling like you aren’t accomplishing anything is perhaps one of the most frustrating things in life.
i guess it’s part of life … day to day, but still - it’s tough.
i didn’t think the tech industry would be this …
Still at the colo … oh the things we do for offsite efficiency. :)
Last night.
Amy’s going away party was quite a fun time. She’s moving to Vail in a week and this was her send off.
Quote of the night “you look like a young john ritter”
Seriously?
Can’t wait to get the pics.
Fun times.

my brother left today
after over a month here, my little brother stephen, who’s 20, left today.
while we survived the trip without really fighting at all, i feel that we could’ve done a little more and pushed things even if it meant fighting a bit.
reflection: travel somewhere with him for at least two weeks in the next year.
he’s all grown up. crazy.
