I knew this was coming - but didn’t think it would have as pronounced effect on as many of my friends as it has.  Great time to try to get into entertainment right? haha.

Sex Ban on the Airbus A380 →
“There are things that are acceptable on an aircraft and things that aren’t, and the rules for behaviour in our double beds are the same ones that apply throughout the aircraft.” In any case, the plane is as yet unchristened: Tony and Julie Elwood from Perth, Australia had booked the first A380 double suite, but hardly had a moment of privacy for a romantic kiss, let alone anything raunchier,...

Good Morning, Good Morning!
I’ve been sleeping a solid amount recently. I think it’s due to physical exertion, my recent move and working out at a new (very convenient) gym. Starting next week my new goal will be 7am wake ups all week!

As California Burns ...
Life is suprisingly normal for most folks in Southern California. I have friends working in San Diego helping with the relief and aid and all they can say is that the devastation in affected areas is absolute. Casualties and loss of human life however has been low.

LA is a land of valet parking and disgruntled New Yorkers. I’ve been busy lining up meetings with people I know/respect up here in hopes to find out what I’m going to do next. Any suggestions? I’m pushing reset.

The fires Living in socal you sometimes take for granted what havoc nature can bring when it wants to or is provoked. The fires are pretty profound but the large majority of people are safe and sound. That said as I worked from a coffee shop this afternoon it rained down ash on me and everyone else outside. The offshore breeze is keeping the firefighters busy and will most likely prevent...

Magic Elixir
I’ve never felt that the human body properly processes food and various other things it comes into contact with in an efficient manner. A year (or so it seems) back a friend told me about the 4 hr work week book. Since then I’ve become a fan of Tim Ferriss. In on of his blogs people asked him about supplements and in the answers he wrote to take the following supplements: Niacin ...

In Tallahassee
Visiting family and friends.  It was a nice drive throughout the state today until I headed west on I-10.   The rain was decent, but since moving to California I rarely drive in rain - esp. in a sedan. Still it was reassuring driving next to so many people that were acting like it was raining out instead of what I deal with in california.  Californians are like wet cats when it rains.

Going out with college buddies tonight. Our alma mater USF won it’s sixth game in a row and is in the top 5 in the us. No easy feat considering we had our first game in 97. I was there and its growth as a team and a community has been amazing for Tampa.

Re-Segregation (sp)
It’s hard for people to realize outside of Florida and many other states in the south, but segregation doesn’t exist for a large part. In comparison - California is very segregated. Most people live in neighborhoods with similar ethnicities in CA. “Based on the Census analysis, the top five most segregated metro areas were Milwaukee, Detroit, Cleveland, St. Louis and Newark,...

My Delivery Sucks
Nick aka “oats” posted this today:  My dad says that I have a lot of good ideas, but my delivery is bad. He says the way that I present my ideas can sometimes be hurtful. This is especially true if the idea is something that I am passionate about. For example, my dad was doing something with the company by himself. And I had a better idea - he should hire X person to do X job. Either...

i don’t really buy a lot of the a.d.d. hype and find myself being productive generally - when i want to be. lately i find myself bored in conversations and mostly in conference calls. i do 80% of my business over the phone/internet and lately it’s been numbing. i knew things were getting bad when today i watched a dude with no arms play norwegian wood on a guitar with his feet. 5...
